Ways To Improve Public Speaking Skills

Here are some tips to help improve Public Speaking skills:

* Before giving a speech:
- Identify the interests & needs of the audience
- Conduct the practice of breathing deeply & regularly to calm nerves
- Build confidence by imagining yourself delivering a successful speech
- Conduct the practice of giving speech in front of a mirror several times, including recording it & sharing it with colleagues, friends, or family

* When giving a speech:
- Organize speech from start to finish well & clearly
- Focus on the appearance too: Clothes, shoes, hats & more
- Use the right equipment that can enhance presentation & help convey the message: Videos, props & more
- Grab the audience's attention by opening the speech with a strong sentence: Interesting quote, question, or fact
- Speak clearly, slowly, creatively & interactively
- Concentrate on the content of speech
- Use body language also by standing confidently, making eye contact & using gestures to emphasize important points
- Interact with the audience by asking questions, encouraging participation & responding appropriately
- Manage time properly to ensure that speech is not too long & too short

* After finishing a speech:
- Review the speech by watching it through a video
- Ask for the best assessment & advice from trusted sources who can identify areas for improvement

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is a device worn by an individual to:
