- Confined Space has hazardous atmospheres, hazardous materials & areas that can trap workers who enter them
- Confined Space is also dangerous due to gas, heatwave & damage to engine & cables
- Confined Space requires Ventilation Hose to provide air & expel toxic fumes
- Confined Space requires Guardrails to protect the workers from possible falls
- Several forms of Confined Space: tank, storage bin, carriage, pit, tunnel, equipment housing, duct, pipelines, etc

Onshore Incident Commander

The Onshore Incident Commanders (OIC) & the Emergency Management Team (EMT) should have the knowledge of:
- Emergency / Incident Management
- Major Emergencies

They should also have the knowledge of the following types of emergencies:
- Type A: a major emergency that is easy to control if managed properly
- Type B: a major emergency that can escalate if not controlled
- Type C: a major emergency that cannot be controlled & leads to an #evacuation

They must have the ability to:
- Provide proper information & instructions
- Provide information to appropriate institutions via EMT
- Delegate authority effectively
- Manage individuals & teams
- Assess & manage information when an emergency occurs
- Take effective action
- Give command
- Prevent, control & deal with emergencies / incidents
- Carry out pre-determined #Emergency / #Incident Procedures
- Recognize & deal with #stress in themselves & others

What knowledge & skills should the personnel working as Emergency Management Team Members or personnel providing support to the team have when an emergency occurs?
