Control Room Operator

Some of the jobs that the Control Room Operator (CRO) must do:

- Work in the Control Room

- Work safely in accordance with regulations, operational requirements & Systems for Working Safely

- Maintain a state of readiness

- When an emergency occurs: Turn on the Alarm or ensure that the Alarm has sounded

- Use the Safety Procedures that have been determined to handle emergencies

- Control critical situations & emergencies to minimize & handle hazards & risks to workers, work, operations, assets & others

- Get information about Emergencies that occur in the workplace, weather conditions, availability of the Emergency Response Team & others

- Secure & isolate the area

- Provide information about critical situations & emergencies to the Security Team & Emergency Response Team

- Check available Safety Equipment

- Identify all conditions that can affect the emergency response

- Protect victims by guiding them to carry out the Evacuation Process

- Recalculate the number of victims to ensure the safety of all parties

- Prevent & minimize the impact of an incident
