Accident And Emergency At Helicopter

Accident at Helicopter usually occurs due to:
- Damage to engine & rotor
- Pilot makes a mistake in viewing the distance, a failure to follow procedures & others
- Bad weather conditions, strong winds & others
- Poor communication between pilot, crew & other required parties
- Pilot & crew fatigue
- Proper training is not provided

Safety procedures that should be done in case of emergency in Helicopter:
- The pilot must attempt to land the helicopter safely
- All passengers, including the pilot & crew, must immediately exit the Helicopter through designated exits
- The rescue team outside must approach the Helicopter carefully
- In case of fire in the Helicopter, the Rescue Team must extinguish the fire using the proper technique

Guidelines of Helicopter Safety that everyone must always remember:
- Helicopter Safety Training must be conducted routinely so that all parties can handle emergencies & save themselves
- All equipment in a helicopter (PPE, Raft Rescue, Floating Devices, Fire Extinguishers & others) must always be checked for condition, must always be in good condition & always provided in the Helicopter
- Clear communication between all teams (Pilot, crew, parties on site, Rescue Team & others) must always be done to ensure safety
