Offshore Lifeboat is an important aspect of Offshore Safety that is useful for:

- Assisting in Rescue Operation: Offshore Lifeboat is operated to rescue people who have fallen overboard or are stranded in the water. The Offshore Lifeboat is equipped with rescue equipment and is operated by trained personnel to ensure the safety of everyone.

- Assisting in the process of survival at sea: Offshore Lifeboat is equipped with essential supplies such as food, water, and medical equipment to ensure that personnel can survive for a long time until help arrives

Good Relationship And Cooperation Between Germany And Indonesia

When I attended the 52nd Annual Members Meeting of the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID) on June 24th, 2024, I got good information that various activities carried out by Germany and Indonesia show that these two countries are carrying out fruitful cooperation that gives benefits to both parties.

The bilateral business relations between Germany and Indonesia increase through strategic programs, meetings, site visits, conferences, meet-ups, and networking events.

Below are several activities by EKONID and various parties in Indonesia in 2023.

* Hannover Messe 2023 - Indonesia German Business Summit

The 5-day Hannover Messe - the leading trade fair for "Industrial Transformation - Making the Difference" - at Hannover Fairground, Germany in April 2023 focuses on:

- Machine Learning

- Carbon Neutral Production

- Energy Management 

- Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

- Industry 4.0

- ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)

Under its motto "Making Indonesia 4.0", Indonesia brought more than 150 exhibitors from companies, enterprises, startups, associations, institutions, and government.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz opened the Indonesia-German Business Summit.

The Business Summit believes that:

- Indonesia will grow

- Indonesia needs high-tech and environmentally friendly solutions to achieve sustainable growth

- Indonesia and Germany can cooperate to increase the businesses in digitalization, energy transition, and EV Supply Chain

* Construction Machinery and Building Material Plants

- It was held in June 2023

- It discussed construction machinery, building material plants, construction of the new capital Nusantara, equipment, machines, cables, asphalt, cement, and more

* The Visit By North-Rhine Westphalia

- Location: Jakarta, Morowali in North Sulawesi and Palu in Central Sulawesi

- It was held from November to December 2023

- Business priority: Green and clean technology, global electric mobility supply chain, polytechnic

* Innovation and Technology By Jakarta and Berlin

- It was held in September 2023

- The visit by the State Senator for Economics, Energy, and Enterprises of the city of Berlin - Franziska Giffrey to Indonesian ministries, associations, and companies

- Topics: Environmental friendliness, innovative startups, adequate infrastructure, sustainable transportation, digital city administration and more

- Project: Smart City Changed Project Jakarta

* Other interesting activities done by EKONID:

- Started German Standard Training of Trainers (AdA) in 2016

- Hosted a B2B meeting between the German Federal State of Thuringia and companies, institutions, and governments in Jakarta and Surabaya in March 2023

- Started the German Dual Vocational Education and Training (GDVET) Program in Hotel Management in July 2023

- Teamed up with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in the International Hydrogen Ramp-Up Program

SCBA

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is a breathing apparatus designed to provide air to the user so that the user can breathe independently.

SCBA is used by:

- Firefighters

- Rescue Officer

- Emergency Response Team

- People who work in dangerous environments: Environments filled with thick smoke or toxic/hazardous gases

- Companies that store chemicals on-site that could create hazardous situations

SCBA consists of:

- Area to store air

- Pressure regulator that ensures air flows at a safe and consistent speed, so users don't run out of air too quickly

- Respiratory equipment: Mouthpiece and mask

Different types of SCBA:

- The SCBA that is used as a rebreather that filters, adds, and recirculates exhaled air

- The SCBA that provides fresh air every time the user breathes

- The SCBA that provides air stably

To use SCBA properly, the users should have knowledge about:
